GOODBYE TWITTER

As I move towards my 70th year I have decided to take a look at how my life has changed since retiring, and what I want from the next decade. Apart from qualifying and then working full time as a Natural Juice Therapist, I discovered an ongoing passion for knowledge I wouldn’t have thought possible.

Looking out of the window on this lovely Autumn day, watching the birds busying themselves, playing and talking to each other. I wonder would I have done anything differently if I had a crystal ball to see what lay before me. The answer has been on my mind for a while, and what I find really weird is that I am having quite a hard time actually doing anything about it!

Social Media, so what is social media? If you google it, the definition will tell you that social media is:-

“websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking”.

At this point in time I have a website, a facebook page, well 3 actually, and no I don’t really know why, but over the years they seemed appropriate to help my business grow, I have a twitter account, a linkedin account, 3 whatsApp pages, and an Instagram account, I dread to think how much time I have wasted over the past 10 years looking at these things almost daily.

So I am at last going to take the bull by the horns and sort myself out! The first thing to go is my “twitter” account, I have never really understood it anyway. So for all those who follow me, really follow me, have a genuine interest in what I do, I am still here – not here on twitter but here on the planet. I will always have my website so can be contacted, and dare I say you could even call me up and actually talk to me, a novel idea I know but it is so much better than sitting in front of a screen pretending to communicate with a fellow human being.

So for all those Queen fans out there, here’s a little treat!

And as the BT slogan used to go – a reminder for all you more mature adults

See you on the other side!
